How to ensure information security in the era of multi-clouds?

Every year, on 28 January, we celebrate Data Protection Day the Council of Europe's initiative. This “Privacy Day”, now celebrated worldwide, offers us an opportunity to explain JEMS's stance on information security.

The internal assessment and that of our clients

The strengthening of personal data protection rules, the increase in cyber-attacks, and the growing volume of data processed are all reasons that make security a must-have item For businesses. Not integrating the concept of risks and security best practices as one in the data industry is simply inconceivable.

The evolution of the ISO 27001 standard marks a extra step strengthening cybersecurity requirements. Similarly, the concept of risk is highlighted and extended to all organisational stakeholders.

For the past 2 years, we have observed among all our clients, an increase in the level of security requirements Regarding the security measures implemented for the projects we are undertaking, including the widespread adoption of two-factor authentication, as well as particular attention paid to raising our employees' awareness of best practices. More recently, some clients have required that JEMS has taken out Cyber insurance.

How does JEMS approach these information security issues?

Our security team raises awareness among all employees about best security practices and security standards in projects and developments. This is supplemented by monthly communications and security quizzes that all employees must complete.

The objective is:

  • From minimise the risks of an incident security often linked to human error or poor practice
  • To integrate security in the project backlog and turn it into a «User Story». .

Since these aspects are transversal for all JEMS subsidiaries, we also certified our two new agencies, JEMS LYON and JEMS TUNISIE, in ISO27001 in 2022.

In summary

We are undergoing a process of continuous improvement and intend to continue our commitments to our employees and clients in this regard.
