Home » JEMS & Opquast: Excellence for a Quality Web
Opquast is a recognised benchmark for web best practices. After 20 years of experience creating web best practice checklists, we were looking for a standards repository, similar to the W3C or RGAA. Opquast follows a precise model called VPTCS (Visibility, Perception, Technique, Content, and Services). This model covers accessibility, performance, security, privacy, etc. Furthermore, these are 240 web quality assurance rules, which are realistic, universal, and verifiable, and have been validated by the community. This certification has consensus: many of our clients already know about it. Sharing the same professional vision and the same desire to «make the web better», we became Opquast partners in 2023.
All our clients are aware that quality is an important factor for performance and differentiation. They often express the objective of having solutions that adhere to «web best practices»: a better user experience, fewer difficulties on websites, and more effective sites. Opquast has enabled us to develop new processes and implement a web quality assurance approach. This approach involves all stakeholders in a project: design, development, hosting, and maintenance. This shared culture also involves the client, who in turn improves their vision of a good digital product. Opquast provides a solid foundation for digital transformation by enhancing cross-functional skills and collaboration between teams.
…and we train all stakeholders in the methodology. By the end of 2024, we will have trained and certified all Tech Lead collaborators in the marketing, design (UX/UI), development, quality, etc. departments. Our ambition: to train all of the group’s digital resources by 2025 (approximately 140 people). To achieve this, we have created a working group within the JEMS Academy dedicated to Opquast, assisted by our Techlead communities.
Committed to the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative), JEMS has set greenhouse gas emission reduction targets aligned with scientific knowledge on limiting global warming. JEMS will also obtain the Numérique Responsable (Responsible Digital) label at level 1 at the end of 2024, and level 2 during the next year.
And of course, Web Quality is part of this approach. The Opquast certification complements RGAA training and certifications, eco-responsibility, as well as all training and certifications from our partners.
