Anthropic

What is Anthropic?

Anthropic is an American artificial intelligence research company, founded in San Francisco and structured as a public benefit corporation – a legal status that formally commits it to safety and societal impact objectives, not just profitability.

She develops Claude, a family of language models available in several formats: Claude.ai for conversational use, Claude Code for command-line software development, and an API accessible via cloud platforms such as AWS Bedrock.

JEMS & Anthropic: Claude at the heart of software production

JEMS is deploying Claude directly into its clients' development teams, using a reproducible four-phase method.

1. Claude Code CLI. Command-line deployment, connected to AWS Bedrock, for all consultants on an assignment.

2. Plan Team. Rollout of Claude.ai and Claude Desktop for non-technical profiles – project managers, QA – under a dedicated organisation, whilst developers remain on Claude Code.

3. Industrialisation. The project's conventions and standards are formalised into rules and skills, packaged into reusable plugins on the client's Git repository. Framework takes precedence over individual improvisation.

4. CoE programme and training. A centre of excellence ensures long-term adoption, with enablement sessions for all project profiles – not just developers.

Proof through use: Pathé

At Pathé, one of Europe's largest cinema chains, this method is applied on the scale of 25 JEMS consultants – full-stack and mobile developers, QAs, DevOps engineers, project managers and architects – on the B2C platform, which handles 3 out of 4 tickets sold online by the chain. The project builds on a 15-year JEMS x Pathé partnership.

Results measured over 156 days of active deployment:

  • Velocity multiplied by three on development cycles (testing, code reviews, documentation, specifications).
  • Zero technical debt added, as code standards are encoded into the Claude skills rather than left to individual discretion.
  • Cross-adoption across all project profiles, not just developers – a point that Jean-Christophe Désire, Pathé CIO, directly highlights: «It is no longer an experimental tool: it is an operational performance lever embedded in our team practices.»

The next phase of the project focuses on product-side use cases, which are still being proposed: a conversational concierge replacing the B2C search engine, personalised film and screening recommendations, and a complete evening planner (film, times, dining, travel) in a single conversation. The migration of accounts to a dedicated Pathé Anthropic organisation is also underway.
