The user formulates their request in natural language, as with a conversational assistant, and obtains a simpler, more direct, and more actionable response. When the context warrants it, the agent can also be connected directly to the data to enrich its analysis, with built-in safeguards to prevent inappropriate queries.

The aim isn't to replace existing governance tools, but to make them more accessible. The data catalogue remains essential for documenting, linking, and governing data assets, but it's often perceived as too technical by end-users.
